COVID precautions necessitate the 4th annual Neuf be virtual, so for this year only, we hope!

The Neuf Memorial 9K or 2 Mile Virtual Run will still take place on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

On race day, run or walk your chosen distance on your own and post pictures on Facebook.

To celebrate the Neuf community, use #90kneufchallenge when sharing photos of your run.

All registered participants receive a personalized digital bib through RunSignUp, a commemorative lightweight running hat, and a digital finisher’s certificate.  Registration opens on October 19, 2020 with an entry fee of $35.

This year, we won’t track times, and there won’t be prizes for being the fastest.

Instead, here are the 9 Neuf Memorial Run prizes we will award based on race photos submitted to Facebook on race day:

1. Best costume

2. Most creative place to run

3. Most creative time to run

4. Best beard (real or otherwise)

5. Best kilt

6. Best display of Neuf branding

7. Bravest running outfit

8. Best "spread the love" message

9. Best family/group themed costume

We promise to be very biased in our judging, and winners will receive a certificate of recognition

and lots of accolades on social media!

Packet pick-up will be at the shelter at Cottonwood Park located on the corner of 24th Street and K-15 in North Newton, Kansas, just south of Mojo’s Coffee Bar (2500 N. Main Street, North Newton, Kansas) from 4:30-6:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2021.

But wait, there's more...

90K CHALLENGE

We’ve created the 2021 Run the Neuf Virtual Challenge to encourage increased physical activity during the holiday season.  The Challenge is to run/walk 90K (or more) between December 9, 2020 and January 9, 2021.  90K is 55.8 miles -- about 1.75 miles for each day of the challenge.  You can do it!

Simply run or walk and then record your distance on RunSignUp (see Participant Instructions below for more information) which will track your progress and allow you to see the progress of the other challenge participants as well.   Tag your photos with #90kneufchallenge as you make your way through the challenge.

The Virtual Challenge includes entry in the Neuf Memorial Virtual Run and all the accompanying SWAG (see below).

In addition, those who finish the challenge receive a quarter-zip long-sleeve finisher’s pull over.  Registration opens on October 19, 2020 with an entry fee of $90.

Early bird registration deadline for the run and the challenge is Sunday, November 22 at 11:59 PM.  All participants registered by the deadline will receive their race SWAG by the start of the Neuf 90K Challenge on December 9 via mail or early packet pickup.  You can sport the SWAG throughout the Challenge!
